4-Channel Single Beam Sonar Module

The 4-channel sonar module is a high-performance sonar controller that is used in scanning and side-scan sonar applications. Each channel can operate independently from other channels. The operating frequency range spans from 40 kHz to 2 MHz, which allows using the module in different sonar applications. The sonar modes and operation can be configured to meet specific application requirements. The small size and configurable maximum power consumption allow embedding the module into small ROVs/AUVs. The module can operate with arbitrary waveform pulses, including LFM, HFM, and phase coded pulses. The complex pulses and high sample rate provide high image resolution at short and long ranges. The module is controlled via an Ethernet or serial port. The ping rate is limited only by the acoustic time in side-scan sonars and by acoustic and stepping time in scanning sonars. The module contains a microSD card that can be used for data logging. The module contains two motor drivers for unipolar and bipolar stepper motors.
